“The vivencial purpose of integration of polarities going through several expressive mediators (dance, rituals, mandalas, music and creative writing) The Yin & Yan according to the oriental philosophy, represent complementary forces, Presents in everything what exists” – Portugal
Abstract: This conference/workshop gives a vivencial / experiential purpose of integration of polarities going through several expressive mediators: dance, rituals, mandalas, music and creative writing. The Yin & Yan, according to the oriental philosophy, represent complementary forces, Presents in everything that exists. From the Jungian point of view, Yin & Yan (Anima and Animus) express values of symbolism of our psyche; they illustrate the psychological functioning. Our disturbances are a fruit of the imbalance of these forces. The experience of balanced integration is the bridge of the physical and mental health. The Chinese philosophy of Yin & Yan show diverse opposite forces: masculine/ feminine, night/day, earth/heaven, sun/moon, cold/hot and so on. According to this thought, everything that exist in the universe is derived from the conflict of the opposites, which is not negative, it is unifying. The personal work of each human being goes through experience and balances these opposites, represented here by the balance of Yin & Yan forces.
